Forensic psychology is a relatively new discipline, having only been formally recognized as a specialization within psychology by the American Psychological Association in 2001. Recently, many specialty schools and universities have started offering forensic psychology bachelor degrees, master’s degrees and doctorate degrees that are tailored to students’ specific career goals. This was pre-recorded 2 weeks ago. I will be doing some updated videos. I know some of you may not want to hear my thoughts on getting a proper education, however I wanted to share with those that would like to know. I have not had an easy life and I had many problems throughout my educational path. I allowed so many obstacles to stand in my way. I finally met my wonderful husband and felt as though I could do anything. With his support and my children’s support I went back to school for 3 more semesters and finally obtained my degree in psychology. My dream has always been to help others and I have always been an amazing listener. I do like to talk, but I am a very caring and understanding person, and I treat everyone the same way I want to be treated. I find it amazing how there are so many people who take the time to be negative to others, what does it do for them. They are obviously uneducated about morals and respect. OK enough about that. I also want to add that I am now in school for cosmetology and I am really excited to learn and teach you all the great things I learn during my cosmetology education journey. If you manage to get a forensic psychology degree at the PhD level, them you can start practice. In this case no further licensure is necessary. No doubt that an additional certification may bolster your credentials in the job market.

Psychology degree programs can be a great way to start a career in psychology. You will find that most of the people who have had successful careers in psychology will have a degree.

On the other hand if you choose to get a bachelor’s degree, you will find that there are various possibilities that will be available for you in the job market.

The first thing you should do once you have finished any of the available psychology degree programs is getting a license. To get a license as a psychologist, there will be certain requirements which will vary from country to country.

In the United States fro example, you will have to have undergone a minimum of three months approved internship program. This can be followed by a prerequisite that you should have a few years of professional experience.

This will be ascertained by the licensing board before they give you a certain licensing exam. This exam will be able to determine if you are qualified enough to be able to be licensed as a clinical officer.

Once you have been licensed, you can continue with the psychology degree programs that are of a higher level or you can simply look for a job. Licensed psychologists will tend to earn more than those who are not licensed.

A licensed psychologist will earn a higher salary as compared to the one who doesn’t due to the fact that the employer will have a certain surety wit the license.

A normal psychologist will be seen to earn a salary that should not be lower than fifty five thousand dollars. This being the minimum, they can be able to get a salary that will exceed seventy thousand dollars.
